Stampin’ Up!’s Bloomin’ Watercolor

DailyStampede3Jan2013a_edited-1

This card turned out to be my favorite of the week!

I love the wide range of creativity that Stampin’ Up! products offer, and sometimes I forget

exactly how many different techniques are available at our fingertips.

I often color images using my dry aquapainter technique.

It gives me a lot of rich intense color without purchasing those expensive alcohol markers available.

Besides, I have already invested in my Stampin’ Up! markers and I like to use what I have.

I have been teaching my friends the dry aquapainter technique for some time now,

and there is a learning curve with it. It isn’t difficult but you have to find your own groove.

I did not use the dry aquapainter to create the card above.

I used a blender pen.

I love the results.

This is not a stamp and go card.

It took some time to color in and get the image just right.

I used Stampin’ Up! Blooming with Kindness set.

I have to admit something here,

I LOVED this set when I saw it -mainly because Stampin’ Up! included so many

perfect sentiments and they did it using great fonts.

I put off buying it because I was intimidated by the flower.

What am I going to do with that flower?

How can I make it different with each card?

I got over it :-)

Today I am writing up a tutorial (PDF) on creating this card.

It will be a gift to my customers who place an order with me,

for any order $35 and over (before shipping and taxes).

You can order 24/7 from my online store

You know I always love your cards but some just blow me away. This is one of them. This is absolutely gorgeous! Best of all, the techniques you teach us have helped me to understand that creating a beauty like this is possible, even for me! I’m off to check out my flower stamps to see if have one that will let me practice this technique!

    • You are sweet, Sheri! I so appreciate you taking the time to say such wonderful things. Please send me a picture of whatever you create!
