I love Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy. It is clean and classic, and looks as good in a masculine card as it does in a vintage card. I also LOVE Stampin’ Up! First Edition DSP! It adds so much interest and it is so easy to work with. This time I have paired my favorites with …. Stampin’ Up! Blooming with Kindness …. I know, I know, surprise surprise, I am using Blooming with Kindness
I got on a roll the other day and simply could not help myself. I promise to pull out another stamp set (or five ) for my projects next week. This is a pretty simple card. I stamped the main image, inked the edges and layered the cardstock onto the card base.
The only thing I did a little differently that you may not be able to tell from the pictures, I used my blender pen on the image. It didn’t manage to pull color into the rest of the flower but it did fade the original stamped image in such a way that it matched the aged effect of the rest of the card. I am happy with the result. I also added a bit of Stampin’ Up! So Saffton, using a stamping sponge, around the flowers rather than on the edges of the paper. I figure paper naturally yellows a bit with age so this addition of So Saffron just adds to the “authentic” aging of the card.
