Stampin’ Up! Just Believe …Last One (this week)

DailyStampede31Jan1

I saved my favorite card for last. I attempted to give my floral image a more masculine feel by adding Stampin’ Up!’s square lattice embossing folder for texture, and the Natural Trim Ribbon. I realize this is still a CAS (Clean and Simple) card, but it still has enough interest to be pleasing to the eye (at least I think so).

Don’t be afraid of CAS cards. People like them. I think sometimes I get caught in the trap of thinking I have to contiually out do myself (card-wise) when it seems clear to me that it is good to strike a balance. I go back to one of my favorite subjects …good food. We shouldn’t have fancy over the top meals everynight of the week. A simple salad and grilled chicken have a rightful place in our diets. And so it is with cards. Yes, the cards I have posted the last couple of days are more in the simple salad and grilled chicken arena – but I would like to think they are served with a knock-out salad dressing :-)

I think I should have had breakfast before writing this post. LOL!

Tomorrow I will share with you the second card my ladies made this week.

I even finished the inside of this card. Do y’all always finish the insides of your cards? Or just on some of them?

The weekend is right around the corner. Hang in there. (this is a pep-talk for myself today :-) I figure if I am feeling this way today someone else out there is needing to hear it too)
