Party in the Mail

I have a friend (and card club member) who asked me to design 4 cards for a gathering she was planning on having. She lives in Virginia and I live in Texas so after talking with her about what she wanted to do, and supplies she had on hand (stamp sets and inks) I designed 4 cards for her and her friends.

I am calling it, party in the mail :-)

Over then next 4 days, I will share them with you.

I designed the 4 cards based on the images and the colors Amy liked and had on hand.

The first two cards both have very vanilla as the main background color. One uses very vanilla card stock the other uses Patterns DSP stack in very vanilla.

The other two cards, I used color and texture for the background using the big shot and embossing folders. As an added touch, I used coredinations card stock that they will be able to sand off to reveal the inner core color in the wood grain.

All four cards work together as a set, but you will be able to see the 2 pairs of cards clearly.

I shipped the packet (party in the mail) off to Amy yesterday.

I included the items Amy will need for her gathering, plus a few thank you cards for her, and her guests.

Supplies Used:

Stamps: Bootiful Occasions

Ink: Raspberry Ripple, Midnight Muse, Old Olive

Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Raspberry Ripple, Midnight Muse, and Old Olive

Embellishments: Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Basic Pearls

This was a fun idea. I know Amy is a very experienced stamper and will have a great time with her friends!

  1. This is such a cool idea – you’re so smart! —and the card is very nice as well; can’t wait to see the rest of the series!

Tell me what you think...
